Head Trainer Renee Carter has earned her USDF Bronze & Silver Medals.
She is currently competing at Prix St. George and working towards a Gold Medal.
2004 Renee moved from FL to VA to train and show with Britta Johnston for a year
and a half. Renee has worked with acclaimed instructors: Walter Zettl, Dr. Max
Gahwyler and Betsy Steiner.
In 2005 Renee took the opportunity to train in Germany with Martin Hillmann at
his stable starting young sporthorses under saddle and preparing them for sales and
auctions. In January 2006, Renee was offered the position of show groom for U.S.
Equestrian Team short-listed rider, Catherine Haddad based in Vechta, Germany.
During her four month stay with Catherine, Renee was able to work with many
advanced level horses and further her education in classical dressage, while also
receiving training on her own horse Calvados.
In 2006, Renee returned to the U.S. and started her own business, Carter Dressage. Over the past three
years the business has grown rapidly. Renee runs her boarding and training business out of this exceptionally
beautiful facility.
She attends the Young Dressage Horse Trainers Symposium yearly, and is currently training with U.S.
Equestrian Team Young Horse Coach and FEI Competitor, Scott Hassler. She has a very strong background
in starting young horses under saddle and giving them a well rounded education that will prepare them for a
number of disciplines including dressage, jumping, eventing, and fox hunting. All riding disciplines and all
under saddle horses benefit greatly from dressage training and Renee looks forward to helping you meet your goals!
